"Patriarchal societal structures have had a significant impact on the way "men's" health research is conducted, shaping assumptions and methods of inquiry and methods of inquiry, as well as interpretation of research findings and dissemination. A practice of intersectional reflexivity may aid researchers in identifying and addressing their own biases, while also illuminating the complex and synergistic determinants that influence the lives and health of marginalized men."
